King Street Farmers Market

New! Local! Awesome! It's the King Street Farmers Market! We're very proud to have been asked to been a part of the inaugural Farmers Market, which was on May 9th. It truly is a honor for us to have participated in the first, invite only, event. It was a lot of fun and have since committed to a presence every Wednesday. We'll always offer a cupcake or two and something else for those who may not be looking for a cake. We also debuted our new line of caramel popcorns at the Farmers Market and they were met with great reviews!

As you can see from the flyer, the King Street Farmers Market will be held every Wednesday from 11am - 2pm, rain or shine!

Check our calendar to see what we'll have each Wednesday. Don't forget, you're welcome to request that a special cake be made for this event.

See you at the Farmers Market!

The Great American Bake Sale!

Did you know 1 in 5 children in America do not know when their next meal will come? Did you know a $1 donation to Share Our Strength can connect a child with 10 nutritious meals? Did you know that a bake sale can help to fight childhood hunger within the United States?

Because hunger is really an issue in the US, and one that we're acutely aware of, we will be joining forces with Tri-County Rolling Militia, a local women's roller derby team, to host Jacksonville's only location of the Great American Bake Sale. We'll be serving the "Shot" sized cupcakes, in two flavors, one of which will be vegan! Members and Skaters of TCRM will be bringing the best baked goods they have as well. Together we'll be serving up a lot of wholesome american goodness, with 100% of proceeds to go to this terrific charity!

The bake sale will be held Bold Bean Coffee Roasters, which is located at 869 Stockton Street Suite 1-2 in the historic Riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville. It'll be on April 21st, from 11am - 3pm. For more information and updates on what goodies will be available, check out the Facebook event page. If you can't make the event but would still like to donate, you can make an online donation!

On behalf of BUI and TCRM, we hope to see your smiling face there to help us fight against childhood hunger!

Introducing... a new cupcake size!

Yay! Big News! We make two sizes of cupcakes now! w00t!

After input from our customers, we've drafted a new size of cupcakes to offer. We now have two sizes, of which we affectionately call the "Pint" size and the "Shot" size. The "Pint" cupcake is the regular size that we're all accustomed to, while the "Shot" size is a mini cupcake which is actually a bit larger than your traditional mini cupcake. It may be small, but it packs a lot of punch! We're excited about this evolution in our offerings and can't wait to get more of them into the community. Orders of multiple shots are available, just call or e-mail us to talk about pricing (we're still pinning that down). Or, check out the calendar to find out where will be selling them.

Art Walk #100

Congratulations, Downtown Vision, Inc on your 100th Art Walk! Let's celebrate with a Mimosa Cupcake!

If a champagne and orange cupcake doesn't suit your tastes, how does a "Chocolate Rain" or a "Rick Roll" sound?

The "Chocolate Rain" cupcake is one of Dark Chocolate Cake and a Chocolate Milk Buttercream, with a sprinkling of Cocoa Rice Krispies.

The "Rick Roll" cupcake is a Cinnamon Roll Cake with a Cream Cheese Topping.

Come on out to CoWork Jax and try one tonight!

Hello Again!

BABY ATOM!
Wow, it's been a long time since I updated the blog. I sincerely apologize for that but we've had our hands full with our new addition, our son Atom. Now that he's a bit older, we're back to work to keep making crafty and creative cupcakes for you Jacksonvillians. We'll be back at Art Walk on March 7th, at the CoWork Jax location. March's theme is music and we've got some great nerdy ideas to accompany the musical theme. We're keeping the cupcake flavors under wraps until we get closer to the date, and once everything is finalized, we'll be sure to share the awesomeness!

We're also trying to secure professional space to continue making the cupcakes at and hope to ramp up production and have our cakes available at area restaurants. Keep your eyes on Facebook and Twitter and we'll update as our plans develop.

As always, we still welcome small orders for whatever your occasion is. We'll work with you to come up with something that is uniquely you and unique to your event. Feel free to contact us anytime!
